No OHV funds stolen this time

Postby LonnieTheGreat » Tue Aug 16, 2011 7:19 am

Hello all OHVPLAN activists. We are happy to report that the 2011-2012 Oregon State budget has beenfinalized WITHOUT any money taken from our ATV fund to be put into thegeneral fund. Money managers in the state wanted another $6 million of ourATV money this year, but our legislators got enough complaints from YOUafter last year's "diversion" of $2.2 million, they chose NOT to repeat therobbery. YOUR emails saved your ATV funds! Thousands of bills were submitted during this legislative session. While wehad a few compromises along the way, we feel this legislative session was agreat introduction for Salem to get the message that we, the OHV community, are watching. We all know the assaults on our sport continue everyday. Fighting back tosave quality OHV recreation can be frustrating, to say the least, buttogether we made a difference this year and we can make a difference in thefuture. THANK YOU for being a part of saving our sport and being involved.Stay tuned for more email alerts and how you can help promote sustainable, quality OHV recreation. Ask your OHV positive friends if they received this OHVPLAN email alert. Ifthey did not, please forward them this email and ask them to follow theseinstructions: Send an email to: with "Join theOHVPLAN" in the subject line. We need their name, their complete (9 digit)voting zip code or address. Have them include your name and email addressas a reference. We need everyone's help in keeping OHV recreation alive. Enjoy your summer!
