This is a great thing that we need to do in Oregon. I urge everyone to attend this if possible.

Tom,
I agree. We should plan a day to visit our legislators offices; with adequate advanced notice to include as many people as possible; and being as coordinated as possible. I liked everything they said in the flyer, including the "free T-shirt" idea so everyone gets noticed as a member.

I wonder what words of advise WOHVA would have for us.

Have already contacted them for info. It's just getting everything organized - no small feat! We need to do this, so we're not behind the eight ball any worse than we already are.

Obviously attendance is key, family orientation and economic benefits are your strongest selling points to those who don't understand our sport. It just takes someone to commit and a handful of dedicated people to make it happen. It's definitely worth the effort. WOHVA would help you any way we can. ride

Attendance is the key! If you plan it and a small group shows up the ORV community looks the fool. The turnout for the Gifford Pinchot ORV rally was low, it did not help our cause much. The monthly OMRA meeting help at the capitol would be an interesting idea.

Yes, the OMRA has an attorney who has helped with numerous items, the most recent being the continued access of Ben Smith Road in TSF (as opposed to a closure). We ONLY have $1900 in our Legislative Fund. That means no way to fund a lawsuit. I would fund it if I won the lottery.

So

When
