About me: I was born in
LaGrande and raised in Hillsboro. I love the area and plan on sticking around. I
recently married my best friend in January of 2009 and have been loving it. No
kids yet, just two labs. I have swung a hammer for a few years and, crazy as it
may seem, actually enjoyed it. I am now starting a career in law enforcement
(bring on the piggy jokes!). I enjoy just about anything outdoors. I love to
ride motorcycles, shoot stuff, hunt birds, go fish, scuba dive, you name it. I
really enjoy the challenge of learning new things. I am excited for the years to
come and the adventures not yet had.
My favorite riding area:
Moab! Four Corners, Post Canyon,
Tillamook State Forest...
My first bike: I was 13
when my parents bought a 1989 XR100 in 1996 for my brother and I to share. That
bike and I went through a lot, including a few fences.
When I first started riding:
My riding experience: Lots
of grassy fields and gravel roads until I was 16. I saved my pennies and bought
a YZ250. I rode mainly dunes and some street (that was trouble) until 2006 when
I road a KTM for the first time and fell in love. I got a 450 as fast as I could
get my hands on one. That is really when I started riding dirt. My first race
was a team race in 2006 up at Starvation Ridge. Oh the stories of that race! I
have been addicted since and my current drug of choice is a 300xcw. I enjoy
riding the fast open areas, but I am really starting to love the tight, getting
your face whipped with tree branches, riding areas too.
My favorite saying:
Why I became an OMRA Officer:
I'd also like to say: Thanks
to everyone that keeps this sport alive. Just a handful of people
are volunteering many hours of their own time to keep things running for
everyone else. "Many hands make light work" I challenge people to help out and
do what they can, when they can. We need to keep our riding areas open, safe,
and fun!
