OVERVIEW
The Oregon Motorcycle Riders Association (OMRA) is the premier statewide organization for off-road motorcycle events in Oregon. As a member-driven group, OMRA represents the interests of trail riders, racers, and dual-sport enthusiasts, providing a platform for unity and collaboration. From organizing races to addressing legislative issues, OMRA serves as the backbone of Oregon’s off-road riding community, fostering a culture of responsibility, enjoyment, and inclusivity.
MISSION
OMRA’s mission is to promote, preserve, and protect off-road recreation while emphasizing safety, community, and fun. Through education, advocacy, and volunteerism, OMRA works to ensure that Oregon’s trails remain accessible, enjoyable, and well-maintained for generations to come.
VISION
OMRA envisions a future where off-road recreation thrives as a respected and cherished part of Oregon’s outdoor culture. By building a strong network of riders, volunteers, and partners, OMRA aims to lead the way in sustainable trail use, innovative safety programs, and events that bring families and enthusiasts together.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Legislative Advocacy: OMRA plays a key role in addressing legislative issues affecting off-road motorcycling, working to protect riders’ rights and access.
Trail Preservation: The organization fights to prevent land closures and ensures the maintenance of OHV trails through its volunteer Trail Crew program.
Youth Safety Evaluation Program (YSEP): In partnership with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, OMRA’s YSEP equips young riders with the knowledge and skills needed for safe and responsible OHV recreation.
Community Engagement: By promoting family-friendly events and fostering a positive image of motorcycling, OMRA creates a welcoming environment for riders of all ages and backgrounds.
Event Organization: OMRA sets rules and regulations, and compiles results for a variety of events, including ISDE, Cross-Country, Grand Prix, Dual-Sport, and Poker Runs.
