Races & Events: OMRA Expands Women’s Racing Classes for 2026

OMRA is expanding women’s racing for the 2026 season with the addition of two new women’s classes, built with the same structure, respect, and commitment to competition that define OMRA racing.

These additions reflect the growth of women lining up across OMRA events and a commitment to creating a women’s program that supports racers at every stage — from first-time competitors to those pushing at the highest levels of the sport.

New Women’s Classes for 2026

🏁 AA Women
Designed for women competing at the highest level.

  • Long course & Expert minute at ISDE-style races

  • Races with the Expert class at GP races

🏁 Women’s 40+
Built for experienced riders balancing life, longevity, and competition.

  • Short course & Amateur minute at ISDE-style races

  • Races with the Amateur class at GP races

A Full Ladder for Women Racers

With these additions, OMRA now offers five women’s classes spanning:

  • Beginner

  • Amateur

  • 40+

  • Expert

  • AA

Together, these classes form a complete progression ladder — designed to grow with riders as their skills, goals, and seasons of life evolve.

This expansion isn’t about separating women’s racing from the rest of the field. It’s about building clear, competitive pathways that honor the level of commitment women bring to the sport and ensure meaningful racing opportunities across every class.

This is the future of women’s racing at OMRA — and we’re excited to see it on the start line in 2026.
