Races & Events: Women’s Beginner Class Joins the GP & Sprint Enduro Series
OMRA is excited to announce that the Women’s Beginner class will be part of the GP and Sprint Enduro (SE) series this year.
This class is designed for women who are brand new to racing or newer to off-road riding and curious about lining up for the first time. Riders will compete on a shorter, less technical course, making it an ideal entry point into OMRA racing.
If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I’ll try racing someday,” this is that moment.

Advice from the Women Who Helped Build This Class
We also want to recognize and thank the women who helped pioneer the Women’s Beginner class in 2020. Their willingness to show up, try something new, and support each other helped shape the welcoming environment new racers experience today.
Here’s what they had to say:
Lindsey Winchester
“Embrace the butterflies — it’s part of racing. Lean into that adrenaline, remember why you’re there, and go ride your damn dirt bike. Have fun. The OMRA family is incredibly welcoming, and riders really hold each other up. Go easy on lap one, be considerate, and don’t stress. We’re all here to have fun.”
Alyssa Howard
“I love that this class is included. It’s fun to challenge yourself, and everyone is out there to have a good time. I expected other women to be rude or condescending, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Everyone helps each other out. My advice: don’t get wrapped up in your head. Have all of the fun. You don’t have to win to have a successful day.”
Megan Hodgkins
“Make every lap count. Each race is another opportunity to learn and progress as a rider. Keep rippin’, ladies.”
Whether you’re showing up nervous, excited, or somewhere in between, know this: you belong on the start line. The Women’s Beginner class exists to help you learn, grow, and experience the joy of racing in a supportive environment.
We can’t wait to see new faces and first-time racers out there this season.
