Stewardship & Volunteers: Honoring Trail Leadership with the Lyon Payne Award
OMRA and the State Forests Trust of Oregon are proud to recognize outstanding trail stewardship through the new Lyon Payne Trail Volunteer of the Year Award. Created to honor longtime OMRA member Lyon Payne, the award celebrates volunteers whose behind-the-scenes efforts help keep Oregon’s trails open, safe, and sustainable.
Races & Events: Competition Memberships Eliminated for 2025
Competition memberships are no longer required for OMRA racing in 2025. Riders can show up, race, and earn series points, with a portion of each entry continuing to support OMRA’s advocacy, awards, and trail work.

OMRA mourns the loss of Ellis Cookman, a dedicated racer and cherished member of our community. Known for his kindness, encouragement, and sportsmanship, Ellis embodied the spirit of off-road racing and left a lasting impact on those around him.
